Honors Program Research Support Grant
As part of its effort to encourage academic initiative, the Honors Program is offering a total of $2000 in grants to help Honors Students defray expenses connected with important research during the semester—whether it be supervised research in the major, or projects assigned in major classes or Honors Seminars. If your project requires the purchase of materials, travel to specific sites, etc., you may apply. There is no minimum or maximum amount, but we try to assist as many students as possible, so some proposals may be partially funded.
To apply, please submit the following to Dr. Jay Paul (Ratcliffe 228) at any time during the academic year:
- two copies of the application form
(new window)
- a 250-word abstract of your research project
- a statement of the importance of the project to long-term goals such as graduate school
- a description of projected expenses, to include dollar amounts
Summer Stipend winners must submit two copies of their written report on the first day of the fall semester.
