Friends of Honors

Welcome!

friends of honorsWe are proud to announce the inauguration of “Friends of Honors,” an organization open to anyone who completed the CNU Honors Program or who desires to support it.

As you may know, the Honors Program reaches beyond the classroom to provide advising, cultural activities, and programs that build community to shape and enhance the active lives of our students.

2008 marks our inaugural year of “Friends.”  Under the leadership of Kim David Eger, an Honors graduate in 1992 with a B. A. in French, who was CNU’s first Fulbright Scholar, the group is planning ways to support the efforts of the Honors Program. Assisting David are G.W. Dameron, an Honors graduate in 1991 with a B.S. in Biology, and Jennifer Vencill, an Honors graduate in 2007 with a B.S. in Psychology. While the Honors Program is supported by the university, donors to the Honors Program play a special part in expanding and enhancing this enriching student experience:

  • funding independent research projects
  • funding travel to present research results at professional conferences
  • participating in on-campus activities like the Annual Honors Celebration
